After Thanksgiving
Well, we have survived Thanksgiving! Had a wonderful time in Kilgore at Mike's parents house. Jon loaned us his Wii. He had to work so Michelle and Chris brought it with them. Michelle and Chris brought their camper, which was great. We had just enough room with their camper. Nonna and Papa in their trailer, Jay, Danielle, Michelle and Chris in their camper and the rest of us in the house. The rest of us is Steve, Deborah, Preston, Mike and I. Jeff, Vanessa, and Austin live about an hour away and they came over for Thanksgiving day and we all had a great time. Everyone in one spot. NICE!! We also got to visit a few friends while back in Kilgore.
Danielle got her new camera for Christmas a while back and has been practicing...a lot. It has been so nice. She got loads of pictures at Mike's parents and everywhere else. My sister-in-law, Deborah got some great pictures and videos too. We so appreciate them all. Danielle even got some pictures at my niece, Jenny's house. My Mom, Pam, Gerald, Nate, Kristen and Ian were all there. Kristen is Nate's girlfriend and Ian is her son. We went over one evening and visited for a while. It was great getting to see both sides of our family all at once.
I am guessing everyone has noticed we got a new picture for the blog. That is one that Danielle took while in Kilgore. We have very few pictures of Mike and I. It is a bit dark and I am not sure why. It was good of us though, so I thought it would be great.
Since Thanksgiving we have been busy making lists of things to get ready for Christmas. Getting Christmas shopping lists ready and going shopping. I would say we have more than half of our shopping done. I am going to do a little baking next week. Have the trash all cooked and ready to go. Finish up the shopping too. We can't wait to spend time with Jon, Michelle, Chris, Preston, Jay and Danielle. I will pick Mom the week before Christmas since she is spending Christmas with us this year.
Next year we will have another new addition to the family. Michelle and Chris are having another little boy in January. I believe they have settled on a name now, so we are just awaiting his presence...patiently.
It is tough getting the kids all together. Work, school, and all other things that go on make it hard, but we always seem to get part of us together. Christmas it will be all of us.
That's all for now. Hopefully I will get my act together a bit quicker after Christmas.
