Clint's 1st b-day and ducks
.
Morning! It is a nice dreary day here! My kind of day. Over the past month we have gotten to have Clint's 1st birthday. It was loads of fun. Chris has the same birthday, so Michelle planned a big birthday party for both of them. I believe there were just over 30 people in their house. Clint had a jell-o mold and Chris got a cheesecake to die for. Lots of friends and family there. There were 10 of the little guys around there. They had fun going from one end of the house to the other
. I have a couple of pictures of Clint at his party. He really loved his balloons and we actually remembered to hand them out at this party. I believer he could have just gotten balloons for his birthday and he would have been just as happy. We forgot at Preston's party last year.
We also got our new roof on our house. We really didn't realize how much it bothered the ducks. They apparently didn't like the blue tarp on the roof. I must say it is nice to have a nice new roof. The day after we got the roof the ducks went back to their old times of landing on the fence and other little quirks they have. I got this one picture of one trying to eat out of one of the hanging feeders for the other birds and also one perched on an arm of the bird feeder pole. I tried for days to catch a duck eating out of the feeder. Just happened to catch the other one chillin' above him.
We also got rid of the old washer and dryer the people who lived here before us. They have been taking up precious garage space. I finally called and asked the trash people if they would pick it up. They said sure, so Mike and I moved them out to the edge of the road the night before and by midnight someone had already come by and picked them up. If we had just put them out there a long time ago they would have been out of our way much sooner. Oh well, we have learned. Sure did feel like a fool for not setting out before. Didn't want to up set the homeowners association though and they were very heavy.
I went to Lafayette Monday before the big party, because Michelle had to have more oral surgery. I am sure if you read her blog you have gotten all of the gory details. She did so much better this time. We are so thankful. I am guessing she hasn't had the tooth fall out they put back in temporarily. Hopefully in a month or two she will get her implant and will have no more problems at all.
Valentine's Day has come and gone now. Mike and I had a great weekend. We went to the movies with Jay and Danielle on Friday. We went to see Friday the 13th on Friday the 13th. Danielle was a real trooper, since she doesn't like scary. That was a great sacrifice for Jay for his birthday.
Mike got me another orchid for my gift and it is beautiful. I now have 2 orchids. Sure hope I don't kill either one of them. I went all out and rented all of the "Saw" movies for him. We had a "Saw" marathon. We went to see the first one at the movies. I never really wanted to any of the ones that followed, so we didn't go. He has always wanted to see them, so I finally found all of them and we watched all 5 of them.
I think that is all of the new I have for now. Hope everyone enjoys this wonderful day!
