Desert Safari Tour # 4

This is where they bar-b-qued our lunch. Nice shade the guys sits in. The tent behind and to the left is where they put the food when it was done for us to go through a buffet line. The food was great. We had chicken breast, chicken k-bobs, weiners, chicken that is served on a skewers that are the consistancy of a meatloaf. It is good too. We also had humus, tabouli, Arabic bread, and an olive salad. They had soft drinks and water for us to have with lunch and coffee or tea after lunch and if you wanted shisha you could have it too. This next picture is of an open tent that was there. It has red cushions in it like the ones outside there. In the tent they
are stacked all along the sides of the tent so you can lay on them and have a snooze or just sit around and visit out of the wind. The tent to the right of it has supplies in it. The lower right edge is part of Mike's head. I didn't even notice his head, because I was concentrating on the tents so much. LOL! There is one more shaded area besides the one where we ate and they cooked for the drivers. We all intermingled even though they were over there.
This next picture is one of our Land Cruisers coming down a dune. I apologize for the quality of the picture, but it is really a video clip. I wanted you to be able to see how much sand flies up while you are going up or down the dunes. This one one of the last dunes we got to do. We had a Land Cruiser get stuck on the one before.
We were already ready to move on and they called on the radio, so we ended up going back. When we got there everyone in that vehicle was out waiting to see if the driver could rock it out. He did right after we got there. While his people were getting back in, so we could leave. We did a donut or two and then headed out. We were almost back to the main road and asked if we could do one more and our driver let us ask the boss. We thought he said yes, because we all turned around and headed back into the dune area. We ended up going to see some camels they have to ride, if that is what you came out there for. We didn't, but we stopped and petted
them and had pictures taken by them. They really didn't want to cooperate, but they finally did. This last picture is dedicated to Jay, because he mentioned having one for a pet in the comment area of a previous blog. Well, Jay here is your little camel. She is a doozy. Not too too tall, but not too small either. LOL! She can't wait to come see you. Actually the two that were there were really pretty good. There were two of them there and neither of them spit or anything.
Well, I hope everyone has enjoyed out desert tour blog.
